10 High BUDGET SPANISH WEB SERIES OF NETFLIX

Introduction

If you're looking for a way to get into Spanish and are frustrated with your level of fluency, I have some good news: it's super easy to learn from the comfort of your couch. These web series are all from Netflix and each one is available in English as well as Spanish. And since they're all set in Spain, you'll learn plenty about culture as well as grammar! The next time you're feeling bored or overwhelmed by learning something new, pop over to any one of these shows and you'll be able to watch them whenever works best for your schedule. Enjoy!

La casa de las flores

La Casa de las Flores is a Spanish TV series based on the novel of the same name. It was first aired in 2018, and it's about a young woman who moves to Madrid to work as an actress. The show follows her life there and how she falls in love with one of her co-stars, despite having no romantic feelings toward him at all.

The plot may sound similar to other dramas out there, but don't let that fool you: this is one of those shows where each episode features something new and exciting! The story builds up slowly over time so that viewers aren't left confused when things start happening on screen; instead they're given enough hints beforehand so they can figure out what's happening before their eyes do (or rather ears).

El nudo

El nudo is a Spanish series that has been dubbed into English and available on Netflix. It's a thriller, with lots of twists and turns.

El Nudo has a budget of $6 million and runs 60 minutes.

La catedral del mar

La Catedral del Mar is a Spanish television series created by Carla Soffia and produced by Globomedia. The show premiered on Netflix on 1 November 2018, and has been renewed for a second season.

The series follows a group of people who have to live together after a shipwreck in the middle of the ocean, where they must find food, water and shelter. They also try to solve their problems as best they can by using tools from previous generations that were left behind when everyone else died at sea.

El embarcadero

El embarcadero is a Spanish web series, produced by Cuarzos Producciones, written and directed by Daniel Calparsoro. The series follows the lives of two young men who start up their own business in Barcelona's port area.

The first season of El embarcadero has 8 episodes and was released on Netflix on June 30th 2019.

La casa de papel

La casa de papel (The House of Paper) is a Spanish series that was released on Netflix in May 2018. It's a crime drama, and it was produced by Televisió de Catalunya (TVE). The show tells the story of a young woman named Carmen who works as an editor at a newspaper called El Trimestre Español. She lives with her boyfriend, Javi Moreno, who's also an editor at the paper. One day he receives some disturbing news: someone has been stealing all of his work from their office! What does this mean for them? Will they be able to solve this case before it gets worse?

Let me tell you something: If you like crime dramas then this might just be one worth watching!

Cable Girls

This is a Spanish web series that has been around since 2016. It's about four women working in the 1920s in Spain, and their lives as they move from one job to another. The show covers everything from marriage, sex and family life to work issues and politics.

It's a very interesting show with interesting characters who all have their own stories to tell. It can be binge-watched over winter break or whenever you have some free time (which isn't often enough!).

High Seas

High Seas is a Spanish web series that follows a group of pirates as they attempt to save their friends from the Spanish Inquisition. The series is based on an ancient tale about the crew of 12 men who sailed into an uncharted sea, where they encountered an island made entirely out of gold and silver. They discovered this island was inhabited by giants who lived beneath its surface—and it's up to these 12 men and women to find their way back home again!

High Seas also features some pretty great actors: Joaquín Cosio (who played Martin in Lost) plays Captain Aguilar; Alicia Witt stars as María; Juanma Bajo Ulloa plays Diego de la Cerda y Torres; Catalina Saavedra does double duty as Beatriz de Cardenas y Castrofuerte along with Ana Jimena Navia playing Catalina Saavedra

Gigantes

Gigantes is a Spanish web series that was released on Netflix in May 2018. It's an adaptation of the novel of the same name by David Trueba, and it stars Álex González (and two other familiar faces from series like Real Madrid CF), Nacho Fresneda and Javier Gutierrez.

The story follows Antonio Lopez de Gomara as he attempts to gain control over his family's business empire after being passed over for succession by his father. The series also follows his younger brother Diego as he tries to keep up with their father’s demands for him to take over the company once Antonio retires from it—but there are more twists than one might expect!

The Ministry of Time

If you’re looking for a sci-fi comedy series, then The Ministry of Time is the show for you. It is set in the future, and it features a time travel agency run by two friends who are trying to find out who killed their best friend.

The series stars Laura Carmona as Merida and Javier Cámara as Daniela, as well as Javier Ángel Granados (El talento de la mujer perfecta). The cast also includes Blanca Suerte (El amor de mi vida), Nerea Riverola (La casa del corazón) and Alexis Grau (Alicia o el mundo entero).

Spanish web series are amazing

Spanish web series are amazing! They have a great story, cast, production and soundtrack. The cinematography is beautiful and the script is well written. The editing is tight too!

You can watch any of these shows online or on Netflix instant streaming if you don't have time to watch it all at once but I recommend doing so because they are all so good that you won't want to stop watching them until their done!
